she is honest. like that about her.
you know we cannot lie to painting (or any kind of art)
some details and texture are pretty amazing indeed
but also reflect her anxiety in it
certainly is an artist that I will keep an eye on her growth😉

Say how did you tell about her anxiety
you have to look at the painting in real life…
they will tell you in a very subtle way, the vibe the tension…
you can see the whole picture is not well settled,
somewhat the energy is imbalance, somewhere is too weak
yet the expressions of those faces and
gestures are very intense and tight
ahhh i may sound like nonsense to you hahahah
don’t know if she is intended to do so,
but the vibe of her work actually is quite interesting
she is good at capturing people’s emotion.
look at those color,
shadow she created for the face and the skin,
is very well done.
she simply like to look at human beings,
which is good ☺️ yet somehow,
she might be very cold to her close one,
cos she need some distance in order to observe. (wild guess)
i guess she also feel stressed being
around people sometimes. (wild guess x2)

the first thing that caught my layman eyes is the water refraction
yea as you mention it i think i can see it now,
the colors of the face and the skin
(i'm trying to feel the paintings as you describe them)
yea, the reflection is very beautiful, immediately catch your attention.

以上對話並沒有得到朋友的許可便擅自登出來，希望大方的友人不會介意，哈哈。
初看何淑美的畫作，當日卻是展覽最後一天。在看畫展之前對她沒有任何認識，只是偶然看到畫展的宣傳，見到當中人物和畫面有種熟悉感覺，才決定前往一探究竟。展覽位於海港城裡一個小得有點可憐的長型空間，每次去那裏看展，都覺得畫展與商場的高檔奢華氣氛格格不入，似是在暗示消費者「請來，藝術品也可以消費」。雖然並非反對出售藝術品這個動作，不過總是有種怪怪的，不對勁的感覺。但，見是次畫作公開貼出每一張作品的售價，心裡忽然又覺得有點安慰，好像終於掀開了藝術品神秘定價的一面，彷彿側面證明了藝術有價。很矛盾吧？小紅點貼紙不少，暗暗盤算，兩萬六千元一張畫，得賣出多少，才能維持一個生活在香港的藝術家？不敢細想。還是保持一點距離吧。
